crazy drivers in a crazy world

I seriously did not appreciate enough how ordered traffic and roads in Irvine are. Stop signs are painted on the street as well as those red signs, traffic lights are easy to see, intersections are gigantic. Here in philly...or I should generalize into: "Outside of Irvine", everything is unordered, even the citizenry miss red lights...they just blow through them! There aren't many dedicated left turn lanes, so you have buses forcing their way through at the blink of the yellow light, making you stomp the brakes HARD or face having a face full of bus in your...uh...face. Then there are the trolleys on the street acting like they are cars, except they stop seemingly randomly and of course the tracks that they ride atop and the faded out yellow traffic divider lines. They are so faded, they may as well not have been there in the first place. I think PA and other states spend most of their money on expressway maintenance instead of petty things like oh let's see, MAINTAINING YOUR F-ING ROADS!!!!

I'll get use to it eventually, then when I come back to Irvine, the cops will swarm me like I'm transporting special edition, buttercream frosted, fresh off the roaster krispe kreme donuts! Seriously, I will be road raging at all the damn orderliness of the Irvine bubble.

Anyway, I luv center city phila! The women keep giving me weird looks tho, I dunno why.
