Today

Today started out different, eyes were a little crusty, it was really cold in the morning. Reliable sources say it WILL get colder, MUCH colder. I'm shivering already...it's my feedforward anticipatory thermoregulatory response. Which brings me to the first 2 lectures of the day. Had one of the BEST lecturers I've encountered so far here. He was a really lively guy, it was a physiology class and he talked about autonomic nervous system and neurons and synapses and neurotransmitters and receptors and thermoregulation and sensors of the body for all types of things. He was pretty entertaining.

I did really well on my quiz, only got one wrong and way above the mean. I have one person to thank for that.

I went to get those brownies yesterday and saw a mural being painted/constructed/put up close by so what else was I to do but stop, take pictures and chat. Anyway, there was a team of 3 people. The main artist was this guy named Paul. He said he's done other murals in the city and some of them are up on his site. The mural's not done yet and it's going to have more 3D elements added to it. The shiny stuff you see is glass...yes very artistic. On to the pics, as always click to embiggen.

That round thing in the middle, will be a 3D nose ring...attached to an unpainted nose, with piano keys as teeth!

I'm not sure what these grape things are, they're set against unpainted parts.

Large parts of it (the grey stuff) is unpainted...

The artiste

It's a work in progress, I'll drop by time to time and take more pics as it progresses.
